ORBIS recycled aluminium for HELL ENERGY beverage cans

Speira and HELL ENERGY are teaming up to move towards sustainability

As one of the fastest growing FMCG brands in the world, HELL ENERGY aims to become the most sustainable energy and soft drink manufacturer. In July 2020, Speira signed a strategic partnership with beverage manufacturer HELL ENERGY Group to supply ORBIS, launching the debut of sustainable aluminium in beverage cans.

The combination of a high recycling rate of at least 75% on the one hand and invincible, consistent quality on the other was particularly convincing. As a result, HELL ENERGY has already been able to reduce the product carbon footprint (PCF) by 60% by using ORBIS.

HELL's beverage cans are available on five different continents across 50 different countries. The company is continuously committed to more sustainable production across the portfolio.

About Speira and ORBIS

As a global aluminium rolling and recycling company with a long history of experience, we have the vision to become the industry benchmark in sustainability. With our ORBIS aluminium, we contribute significantly to the circular economy. By relying on a high recycled content in aluminium from used beverage cans and market scrap, we reduce CO2 emissions to a high level without compromising on quality.

The ORBIS 75 aluminium for HELL ENERGY comes from our state-of-the-art plant in Neuss, which recycles as many used beverage cans each year as are purchased, drunk and sent for recycling in Germany. In addition to our Rheinwerk plant, another key role is played by the direct neighbor: Our joint venture Alunorf rolling mill. Both Speira and Alunorf take common responsibility for closing the material loop also for scrap coming from their own industrial processes or the processes at customers.

In terms of sustainability, we have found ourselves in the vision of HELL ENERGY and we are proud to be able to support the company with our recycled aluminium in the production of beverage cans that are sold worldwide. We look forward to a long-term partnership and are pleased to be able to make an important contribution to sustainable production with our ORBIS product.
